PATCHOULI BASE

PATCHOULI BASE is a woody-earthy base built around the warm, dark and balsamic character of patchouli. It is useful when a smoother and more controllable patchouli-like structure is needed quickly compared with a natural essential oil.

Olfactory profile

Woody, earthy, balsamic and warm, with nuances of forest floor, dark wood, delicate camphor and a light amber sweetness.

In formula

It is particularly useful in chypre, oriental, woody, amber, leather and earthy accords. It can add depth to the base, increase persistence and create a bridge between woods, resins, musks and green notes.

With VERAMOSS it develops a more chypre direction; with VIRGINIA CEDARWOOD it becomes drier; with sandalwood it gains greater softness; with BLACK AMBER BASE it moves toward a warmer and darker base.

BASE or NATURAL PATCHOULI?

The base offers greater consistency and control, with an already balanced structure. A natural patchouli essential oil is more variable and faceted, with more complex earthy, woody, camphoraceous and balsamic components. The two can also be used together.

When to choose it

It is particularly suitable when a stable, rich and already constructed patchouli base is needed to support chypre, woody and amber formulas without building the accord from scratch.

The product is packed to order; the container may vary depending on the selected format and the characteristics of the raw material.

The value refers to the maximum concentration in the finished product, not to the percentage of the raw material in the fragrance concentrate.
