BERGAMOT ESS. FRC 100% NAT.OIL (Calabria)

Natural bergamot essential oil with a citrus, fresh and floral character. The profile is bright and refined, with green, slightly bitter and sweet nuances supported by the natural presence of linalool and linalyl acetate.

Olfactory profile

Citrusy, fresh, luminous, green and floral. It is a classic and highly versatile top note, useful for adding opening, naturalness and lift to citrus, floral, aromatic, chypre and fougère compositions.

Origin and processing

Bergamot is closely linked to the citrus-growing tradition of Calabria. The expressed oil is obtained from the peel of the fruit by mechanical processing, without distillation.

Function in the formula

It can brighten the top of the composition, connect citrus and flowers and create a more natural transition toward aromatic, woody and musky notes. It pairs particularly well with other citrus materials, neroli, petitgrain, lavender, rose, jasmine, woods and chypre accords.

Furocoumarins and skin use

This FRC version is processed using Short-Path technology to remove furocoumarins. The product documentation states that furocoumarins are absent and no phototoxic substances are declared. For use in cosmetic products and on skin, the applicable limits and safety assessment for the final formula and its relevant IFRA category must still be considered.

Storage

Like other citrus essential oils, it is sensitive to light, heat, air and oxidation. Store tightly closed, cool and protected from light.
